Memory Lane Neighborhood

Planning ahead for the care of a parent or loved one with dementia is critical. In the Alverno's Memory Lane Neighborhood, you will find that the majority of the rooms offer private accomodations in a safe and secure environment. We invite and encourage you to bring items from home that provide comfort and memories for your loved one. Our neighborhood also has a rleaxation room and large activity space, which is great for relaxing and socializing as well as participating in group activities.

Specific programming has been developed to assist residents in this neighborhood to communicate their wishes and needs to our highly trained staff. Residents participate in meaningful activities designed to help preserve their memories. Members of our activity staff work with each resident and their family and friends to complete a "Getting to Know You Assessment" to help establish an individualized activity plan. Residents also have the opportunity to enjoy the many activities offered throughout the building and participate in community outings.

Benefit from Aging in Place at The Alverno. The Alverno accepts individuals with all stages of dementia and with various funding sources. Feel confident that your family member will not be asked to leave. At The Alverno, residents with dementia can feel secure in knowing that they have a "home."
