Conveniently located off of 13th Avenue North in Clinton, Iowa, The Alverno provides a wide range of services for individuals in need of long term care or therapy and rehabilitation.
Specialized areas at The Alverno include the Sr. Ruth Cox Rehabilitation Unit for those who are planning to return home once they have recovered from an injury, illness or surgery. We also offer a unit specifically for individuals suffering from dementia. The other areas of our facility provide long term nursing care for those choosing to make The Alverno their home.
Summer School The Alverno
Families members are invited to join residents for our new fun summer activities.
- Golden Toes Ballet Class for all ages – June 10 and 30 at 10 am (free of charge) July/Aug dates TBA
- Spirited Art Canvas Painting June 15 at 5:30. ($10 charge for family members who wish to paint a canvas. Free to residents). RSVP to Becky at 563-244-2667 by June 3.
- Scrapbooking – Time together to create a memory that will last a lifetime. Family are asked to provide photos. Dates TBA

If you are recovering from surgery or an injury or illness, our team of therapists and nurses can help you recover and work toward your goals of independence. Individuals seeking our assistance for rehabilitation are typically recovering from injuries/illnesses such as: stroke, cardiac conditions, pneumonia, falls, surgeries (hip/knee/ankle/shoulder) and many others.
